About ChatQR
From our family to yours.
No harmful algorithms, no endless scrolling, and no targeted ads. Just a safe place to connect with the people you actually know — and to focus on what matters most.
Meet the founder
Hi, I'm Brandon.
I got tired of watching people I love disappear into their phones — including me.
I built ChatQR for my kids first: a place to connect with their friends and family without the things traditional platforms do that hurt their mental health — and, honestly, a lot of ours too.
Most apps are built to keep you scrolling, because that's how they make money. So I built one that isn't. ChatQR is about connecting safely with just the people you actually know, with nothing standing between you and them.
We're bootstrapping this company on purpose. No investors means no pressure to trade your time for someone else's profit.
"Technology should only be a tool to get more out of life, not take it."
The simple version
Three things ChatQR doesn't do — on purpose.
No algorithm
Nothing decides what you see. You see your friends' posts, in the order they posted them. That's it.
No ads
We don't make money by selling your attention. Nothing is sponsored. Nothing is for sale.
No strangers
Just the people you choose to connect with. No follower counts, no public strangers, no noise.
Most apps make money by keeping you scrolling. We don't have that problem — we only do well if you're happy using ChatQR, not if you can't put it down.
